Getting your small business or personal website built and running doesn’t have to be expensive! You can get an attractive, professional web design for a LOT less than you might have imagined (or been told elsewhere)!
A common question is, how much will a website cost. Because each website is different, each with it’s own unique set of requirements and functionality, costs will vary accordingly; it is not possible to for me to say here what your website will cost without knowing first what the project entails.
Many designers don’t like to display their web design rates on their website, because they feel it “locks them into” a particular price range. However, I have added my rates here, as I believe in transparency when it comes to pricing. My rates are pretty straightforward. There are no hidden costs. I charge a set fee rather than by the hour for design work, so you know exactly how much you are paying beforehand. If you want something added at any time, I will let you know how much extra it will be (if anything), and you can decide how you’d like to proceed. I also offer maintenance plans.
I am able to keep my rates lower than most web design agencies because I work from my home, so my overhead costs are low. No staff to pay, office expenses, etc., etc. I then pass these savings on to you. Does this affect the quality of my work? No, not at all. I absolutely love what I do, and take pride in my work, which means you’re not going to end up with a thrown-together, maybe-it-will-work website. Also, since I work from my home, I am able to pretty much set my own hours, none of that 9 to 5 business, which means I am more accessible to you.
With this in mind, the following are my basic rates for web design:
- $195.00 – $300.00 Custom theme design, pricing depends on options chosen. Custom themes are cleanly coded and created to your specifications.
- $26.00 – $45.00 per page This includes formatting and adding your data (data to be provided by Client); the higher price includes the addition of unique page specific meta tags to each page (adding meta tags requires the addition of the meta tag plugin, $50.00 for installation and setup).
- $4.50 per image – This includes optimizing the image/s to be used and adding alt tags. Images to be provided by Client.
- $60.00 – $80.00 – WordPress Installation / Setup. If you are hosted on one of the hosts listed here it would fall into the lower range. If I need to setup a database and install via FTP, the charge will be a little higher.
There are separate charges for items you may want to add to your website, either as it’s being created or later on. Also, be sure to check my Web Design Specials page – you never know what you might find there, as I run specials quite often!
